Obituary

Carol Rose Bronk passed away August 18, 2023, in Roseville, California at the age of 62. She was born to Paul and Rose Marie Bronk on October 20, 1960, at Mather AFB, Sacramento, California. From birth, Carol was recognized as a special child of God. She didn’t talk. She couldn’t do many things that other people take for granted. Her mother, father, and nine siblings seldom saw what she couldn’t do. No, they saw what she could do. She could smile. She could laugh. She could be mischievous. Her smile lit up the room in an instant. Her laughter was contagious and would change any unhappy heart to a joyous one. She loved unconditionally without saying a word.

Carol took joy in the simple things. Her world brightened each time she heard her mother’s voice. She turned her head toward mom, their eyes would meet, and a non-verbal heart-to- heart took place with each visit. She loved music. Many times her sister played soft tunes to which Carol changed her mood, relaxed, or fell asleep. In her last days she heard “Hail Mary, Gentle Woman” each night as a prayer before she went to sleep. Carol loved soft cuddly objects. She would hold her bunny or a blanket tightly in her grasp for comfort. Carol’s prankish nature could be seen in a certain look in her eyes when she didn’t want to do something or she would bite down on anything placed in her mouth she didn’t appreciate such as sour fruit, a toothbrush, or the suction catheter. Carol was a sweet soul. She gave us the gifts of unconditional love, joy in the simple things, and beauty beyond the trials and difficulties of life. She was our rainbow that shined through on a sad, gloomy day with a special light. Each time we see a rainbow may we, her family, be reminded of the gift Carol gave to us all.

Carol is survived by her sisters and brothers, Beverly Martin (Daniel), Ruth Boling (Michael), Teresa Perko (Robert), Donald Bronk, Ronald Bronk (Dena), Joseph Bronk (Denise Doss), Margaret Stanton (William), George Bronk and Elizabeth Walsh (Timothy). A viewing and rosary will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 at Price Funeral Chapel at 9:00AM. The Celebration of Life and Love of Carol Rose Bronk will follow at 10:00AM. Interment will take place at Fair Oaks Cemetery alongside her mother and father. Price Funeral Chapel (916-725-2109), Directors.
