Beverly Bowling

Fair Oaks, California - Beverly Lorraine Bowling age 95 died July 11th 2022.
Long term resident of Fair Oaks.
Beverly Was born October 2nd 1927 in San Francisco.
Father Sebastian Angeli and Mother Elizabeth Angeli.
First job was Western Union. She later worked during the war effort of WW2 packing Bandages for the Red Cross.
She Met Albert Bowling in 1942 through his Aunt Mercedes who were neighbors.
They were married in April 12th 1944 just before Albert left for Guam to fight the Japanese in the pacific. Their marriage lasted 60 years. In the 1950s Beverly went Back to school at San Francisco University till she then had three children. In the 1970s she went back to school and got her bachelor's and masters degree in journalism and Gerontology.
In 1976 she founded The National Foundation For Ileitis and Colitis. and fought to Establish California legislature for Digestive Disease Awareness Month and won.
In the 1980s Beverly helped in coordinating the Miss Sacramento Beauty Pageant for 10 years.
In their retired years Albert and Beverly often attended the Sacramento Symphony.
She will be missed. Survived by Pamela Wilson, Gregg Bowling and Michael Bowling.
Services will be Held at 4745 St. Mel's Church Pennsylvania Ave. August 8th 10:00 am
